The RLAO works with members of the legislature to modernize Oklahoma’s alcohol laws — with a balance of convenience and public safety. Below is what we are watching, fighting, and refusing to give away.
Retail spirits licensees live under employee licensing, training, tasting rules, hours, and a statutory six-percent minimum markup. When enforcement is uneven, the store that does it right pays for the store that does not. The RLAO presses the Commission to apply the law as written until the courts or the legislature say otherwise — not as a suggestion, and not only when it is convenient.
