Oklahoma’s three-tier system is not nostalgia. It is the structure that lets hundreds of independently owned stores stock local distilleries, pay local people, and answer to a local sheriff. Attempts to blur the tiers — self-distribution loopholes, retailer-as-wholesaler schemes, club-store exceptions — always arrive dressed as modernization. The RLAO reads the fine print.

It is only by engaging the process that small-business owners counteract the corporate interests who are constantly trying to grow at the expense of hard-working Oklahomans. Put in your address. The first name is your senator; the next is your House member.
