Keep spirits in package stores

State Question 792 opened beer and wine in grocery and convenience stores in 2018. Independently owned package stores absorbed that shock and kept the lights on. The next prize for chain retail is spirits — the category that still requires a dedicated, trained, 21-and-over package store. The RLAO’s job is to make sure the legislature hears from the people who actually run those stores, not only from the people paid to expand someone else’s floor set.
